ComicDescription

In the rain-softened town of Ashwick, where the old railway station borders the campus and morning fog clings to the tracks like half-remembered dreams, transfer student Sena arrives carrying nothing but a worn suitcase and the quiet hope of starting over. Assigned to show him around is Arin, a classmate whose silence speaks louder than words—a boy who never goes anywhere without his vintage film camera, who documents the world from behind a viewfinder as if the distance between lens and subject is the only safe distance he knows. Drawn to the locked supply closet in the photography clubroom, Sena stumbles upon Arin's secret: a wooden box of prints titled Every Goodbye at the Station, each frame capturing strangers' farewells—hurried embraces on the platform, withheld tears at the ticket gate, the final glance across the tracks—every image steeped in a grief that Sena recognizes but cannot name. When Arin confesses that he photographs other people's goodbyes because he never got to say his own, Sena steps gently into his guarded world: posing by the ticket gate, learning to load film in the red-lit darkroom, becoming the first person Arin has ever let close enough to touch the shutter release. Their intimacy develops like a latent image in chemical bath, slow and irreversible. But Sena carries his own impermanence: his mother's job relocation looms, threatening to tear him away just as their unspoken first love surfaces from the silver gelatin. As departure day approaches, Arin faces an impossible choice—remain behind the lens, documenting yet another goodbye for a box already overflowing with them, or turn the camera on himself and capture the one departure that could truly break him: the boy he loves walking away.
