ComicDescription
Rowan Keene arrives in a small town tucked beside a railway line as the new transfer student, carrying nothing but a quiet reserve and a family that never stays in one place. Assigned to show him around is Leo Mercer, the photography club's silent observer who speaks through his lens more than his voice. After class, Leo leads Rowan to the abandoned station house—a forgotten relic of dust, old timetables, and the smell of rain-soaked wood. Beneath a loose floorboard, they uncover a hidden archive: a meticulously curated photo project of hundreds of candid shots capturing every goodbye ever waved from that platform. Some tender, some desperate, all soaked in the ache of things left unsaid. Leo claims no knowledge of who created it, yet there is a ghost of recognition in the way his fingers linger over each frame. As the two boys work together to piece together the mysterious chronicle—interviewing townspeople, matching faces to stories, tracing decades of departures—they slip into their own rituals of train-watching at dusk and stolen glances across the platform. Their unnamed attraction blooms in the hush before each departure, fragile and electric. But the project is incomplete: one empty slot waits near the end of the album, and as Rowan learns his father's job transfer means his own time in town is running out, Leo must decide whether he will lift his lens to capture the one goodbye that would break him—or find the courage to speak before the train leaves.
