ComicDescription
Adrian Cole has spent two years living with Leo Hart, his relentlessly cheerful roommate, carefully filing away every accidental touch and every lingering glance into a mental archive he never intended to open. Adrian is a reserved architect who finds comfort in straight lines and predictable routines; Leo is a human sunbeam who fills their shared apartment with laughter, terrible cooking experiments, and an easy physical affection that Adrian both craves and dreads. When a weekend trip to visit a remote architectural landmark turns catastrophic — a flash flood strands them on a washed-out backcountry road, forcing them to abandon their car with nothing but a single battered umbrella — they take refuge in an abandoned fire lookout tower. Inside, they find one room filled with the scent of rain and pine, one narrow bed pushed against the wall, one thin blanket, and a cold radiator. With the storm raging outside and their damp clothes hung to dry, they have no choice but to share that bed. Trapped in the half-dark with the rhythm of rain drumming against the roof, two years of unspoken longing can no longer hide behind roommate banter and careful distance. When Adrian murmurs something too quiet to be heard over the thunder, Leo reaches out in the darkness — turning a confession made under a single umbrella into a promise neither of them wants to escape.
